November 13, 2025 / 🌷 Fibery Mobile (private beta), Share Space without sharing its data, Insert Views into Whiteboards,

Today’s release is modestly packed with assorted features from many areas. Enjoy!

:tulip: Fibery Mobile (private beta)

We’re excited (really!) to share the first private beta version of the Fibery mobile app for iOS and Android. We’ve re-worked navigation, added push notifications (make sure to turn them on in settings), and refreshed parts of the interface for a better mobile experience.

It’s still work in progress, and some areas aren’t fully optimised yet. Your feedback will help us refine them before the official launch :rocket:

Want to be part of our private (restricted, limited, exclusive) beta testing? Here is the two steps process for you:

  1. Sign up! (if you already registered, no need to do it again)
  2. iOS: just wait, we will send you an email
Android: you can join via this link.

:leafless_tree: Share Space without sharing its data

Thanks to our powerful access templates, you can share entire hierarchies: for example, a Product together with its Features or a Lead together with its Contacts and Deals. This means you can grant a product manager access to only the product they are responsible for and do the same for the sales rep and their assignments without sharing an entire Space.

However, this granular access introduces a new problem: how do the product manager and the sales rep see their data in a convenient way? Since they don’t have the access to the corresponding Spaces, they don’t see the Views.

Previously, there used to be two meh options on how to address the problem:

  1. Create a Smart Folder outside Spaces (aka in default Space) and set up context Views.
3.(great if the Smart Folder is relevant for most people, messy otherwise)*
  2. Create two Spaces, one with data and other with Views.
    5.(messy and not very discoverable)*

Today we are introducing an out-of-the-box replacement for the second option — a small x that allows you to share a Space without sharing its data:

Here’s how it works:

  1. Share a Space with someone without sharing the data → a person will be able to see the Space in their sidebar with all its Views, Docs, and Whiteboards, but the Views will appear empty.
  2. Share individual Databases, Entities, or entire hierarchies → the person will see the Views now populated with data, but only the data relevant to them.

:heart_with_ribbon: Insert Views and Widgets into Whiteboards

You can now add Views, Reports and Documents, and external resources (Websites, YouTube videos, PDFs, and more) directly to your Whiteboards.

External resource Widget has three modes (feel free to switch between them):

:puzzle_piece: Widget: fully interactive (double-click to edit content)
:speech_balloon: Mention: quick reference
:link: Text Link: lightweight and simple

You can build flows, group widgets into sections, and create more organized dashboards or spaces for your work.

:butterfly: Improvements

  • Files: we’re continuing Files improvements, and here is the list of recent changes (you also could find a hidden gem in a secret place).
    • Download all files action added into right click action as well, so you can have it in context views
    • Now you can rename files uploaded into Files Field. Click … on a file and select Rename action
    • In the past all files from external integrations were put into a single Files field. Now if you have different files fields in an external system, they will be represented as different files fields in Fibery as well
  • Public sharing: (un)sharing an entity to web is now tracked in activity log and entity history. Now you will know who and when exactly turned it on or off
  • Permissions: Editor is a more widely applicable access template, so we’ve made it available on Standard plan for automatic sharing instead of the previous Owner

:shrimp: Fixed Bugs

  • Whiteboard:
    • Group tool: Fixed Alt+drag behavior
    • Group tool: Now it is possible to duplicate Group via Opt+drag in Firefox
    • Section tool: Fixed a case where lines disappear from frame when user selects ‘Bring Forward’
    • Section tool: Now sections are rendered on the highest layer
    • Section tool: Fixed a case when object stops to belong to the locked section if select it and then click +drag
    • Fixed default Text Color Option Missing / Inverted in Color Picker in dark theme
    • Text Tool: Fixed a case when strike through was incorrectly displayed for some fonts
    • Made it impossible to duplicate locked objects via … menu
  • Sharing: Fixed a case when Share to web toggle is getting disabled only after page refresh if Editor created Document or Whiteboard
  • Permissions:
    • Fixed a case when wrong access template is mentioned in the message on empty Space-level dashboards for non-Architects
    • Fixed a case where Submitter access is shown in the drill-down in entity access audit for Users who additionally have entity access
    • Replaced “Entity” with in DB-level access templates
  • Airtable integration: Fixed an error "Failed to convert field “fldblv0I6TBm3b4vx” with value “{“specialValue”:“NaN”}” to type “number”. "on syncing data
  • UI: Avatar abbreviation was wrong in case “,” is used in title

P.S. Your feedback, emotions and punches are welcome! :face_in_clouds:

Lovely stuff!

Was looking forward mostly to this:

But I see it’s impossible to share as architect without extending to databases. Is this planned?

I want my users to configure the views, but not the data structure. For this, I would still need two spaces right now.

Great! The 3 big features are really useful. Will explore them!

For the first one, I have tried to sign up a few times but I get no invite. Just want to say here that I’d love to test and give feedback (and use it for myself :selfie:)

I hope @alex will handle it soon

Do we need to sign again when we signed months ago? Is itnthe same form or different?

Whoa, as a big white board fan, I’m super excited about being able to embed widgets and views into the whiteboard!

Amazing work! Thanks! :flexed_biceps:

Whiteboard, spaces, and mobile (and on mobile?) - looking forward to try these out. Applied for a mobile app too few times but didn’t get an invite - I’d love to try it out.

We’re still waiting for the Android build to pass review for testing, as soon as it’s ready, I’ll send the installation link.

Hi everyone :vulcan_salute: ,

This is great, I have been using the Whiteboard a lot and I am really loving it! I realized on the web mobile version (Safari) are the whiteboards just as a view mode, adding stuff is not possible anymore, is this done on purpose? Will it change with the App?

Thank you, great release! :flexed_biceps:

The Android app is ready for testing https://play.google.com/apps/testing/io.fibery.app

We are working on improved mobile device support for the whiteboard. The current implementation does not fully support touch devices, so it is limited to view-only mode for now.

Your video example is very good and shows just how powerful whiteboards can be once you start embedding other entities and views. It feels like it’s becoming THE place where people do most of their [operational] work.

So far, it’s not possible to de-extend Architect access, indeed. Most likely, it’s coming later, in ~Q1 2026 (not a promise), together with the ability to hide data from Admins.

Unfortunately, the de-extened Architect won’t help in this case, as it will still include the ability to manage Databases, just not see the data.

To accomplish what you’re looking for, you’ll need proper custom access templates on the Space level. Those are unlikely in the foreseeable future, but not impossible to imagine.

Hi!
Whats about Whiteboards API like Miro (Introduction) ?
Some our clients drawing & sketches are not only a visuals, we export tree (~relations) structures & some metadata bridging visual layer with docs/forms/…

Really looking forward to this update. We have had to create separate Fibery workspaces for HR-related content like performance reviews and 1x1 meetings since anyone who is a workspace admin would always have access to the sensitive content.

Would love to be able to set up a single system for all of our leaders with more granular entity view controls. Currently I have had to set up 3 separate workspaces - 1 for each of the leaders in my group to use with their direct reports.

Unfortunate!

I think this quite a common use case. Being “View Architect” isn’t destructive, and a “Data Architect” is. And many of my users want the ability to make custom views of the data, but they also accidentally delete fields when given architect access…

But thanks for the explanation in any case!!

Wow. I hadn’t used Whiteboards much, but I’m going to have to explore this as a full-featured dashboard alternative for our team.
