Optimization of Calendar and Personnel Schedules/Meeting Dates

I have created a space in Fibery specifically for managing collaborator data. When I set up a calendar block, I realized that the field only allows for a single date to be added, rather than a set of dates. This limitation makes it difficult to list all the available times for personnel to attend meetings. Therefore, I would like each person in the same database to have their own individual calendar and be able to add multiple dates independently.

In summary, each person would have their own schedule, and administrators could view and filter all calendars. Similar to file management, multiple entries could be added within each detail page.

What do you mean by this? I actually think this is possible to set in Fibery.

You can create one database only for “Available Time” and relate it to personnel one to many. Then you can either make a smart folder with personal and add a calendar view in it, or add a calendar view to the multi relation area within the entity. Then you can create as many available times per personnel as you’d like. Not sure if theres other ways you need to see the data? I can make a short video showing this if it doesn’t make sense.

Can I build on this idea?

I’d love to be able to have Contractors (and perhaps other team members) black out directly onto the calendar the days they aren’t available to handle requests.

Because as projects come in, it should be easy to see which resources are available, and assign them accordingly, without having to reach out to team members to ask if they can handle them.

In the solution you’ve outlined above, would this be one database called Available Time that every contractor could go into and add their blackout dates, or would each contractor have their own Available Time calendar?

Turns out, I was able to get this going by slightly modifying the Employee Vacation Tracker Template. I made some slight tweaks to turn the “Vacation” database into just a general “Unavailable” database. I haven’t rolled it out to contractors yet, but even just inputting their blackout dates myself onto the Calendar view, and then adding the Projects database under Items so project start/end dates are overlaid onto that, is already a gamechanger.
