November 26, 2025 / Gallery View updates

This week we’re having our annual retreat on :cyprus:, thus we’ve moved this small release to Wednesday. It includes just several updates to Gallery View and some fixes. Still something to enjoy!

Gallery View: Orientation and other updates

We’ve added a Portrait orientation option to card settings in Gallery View. It’s especially handy for portrait photos, book covers, documents, and other vertically oriented media. You’ll find the option in the ‘Cards’ menu.

Other Gallery View improvements include:

  • You can use Gallery View inside Entities (as relation views) and embed Gallery View into Documents and Whiteboards.
  • You can create Gallery View via AI:Build mode.

:butterfly: Improvements

  • Files. Open in a new tab action added to files.
  • API Tokens. We’ve added a Description field for your API tokens. This makes it easier to keep track of what each token is used for.

:shrimp: Fixed Bugs

  • Documents / Rich Text:
    • Fixed a case for Firefox when can’t type any text before entity mention after moving cursor to the beginning of mention via cmd+left arrow.
    • Fixed a situation when callout block emoji /color picker is shown under inline comment popup.
  • Files:
    • Fixed a case when Vector SVG files open in a very small size in the lightbox.
    • Fixed a problem when large files did not generate thumbnail.
  • CSV import: Fixed a case when wrong date and date time values are imported to the existing date/date time fields.
  • Gallery View: ‘Add database’ remains available in Gallery view setup even for the locked view.
  • Formulas: Formula popup is no longer cropped in narrow panel.
  • Fibery AI: Quite many bugs were fixed to improve its quality.
  • MCP: Fibery MCP works with Claude/VS Code again now.

P.S. Hope in near future we will publish our strategy and plans for 2026 :chequered_flag:

Does this solve this? CSV import wrong date

How does it work now? Does it pull from the user’s date format preferences? Or does it check the first 50/100/x items instead of just the first item? If it’s the latter, sometimes one might import items where all dates are ambiguous. I would either set to be the user’s preference, or a setting in the import settings when importing dates.

Enjoy the well deserved retreat!!

Eventually, we’ll introduce per-Field settings during [CSV] import, such as date format (e.g., mm/dd/yyyy vs. dd/mm/yyyy) or percentage format (0…1 vs. 0…100).

For now, we try our best to guess the correct one.
