Notify User runs but doesn't notify

I’ve setup a simple automation to notify a user when an entity is created.

I’ve shared a test space where this problem occurs here.

Upon creating a new entity, the automation is executed which can be seen in the activity tab.
I have Fibery/Email/Slack notifications activated.

Are there limitations to the Notify User action or am I missing something?

EDIT: Sending notification via the “Send message to users” in Slack works as expected (but then only to Slack).

Have you enabled ‘Notify author’?
If you make change, it won’t notify you. It will only notify people who didn’t make the change.

I was thrown off by a notification not working for another user as well (I had two users initially). But I think there may be some other thing wrong with that users setup.
