Small release today with some Whiteboard and Permissions improvements.

Whiteboard Templates

We’ve added a set of popular framework templates to help you get started with whiteboards faster: Customer Journey Map, SWOT, OKRs, Empathy Map, Eisenhower Matrix, RICE, Quick Retrospective, and more.

How it works: Create or open a whiteboard, press + and select the templates option, choose a template, and land on a pre-built board ready to fill in.

Delegate user management via access templates

Let team leaders and heads of departments manage their users, so you don’t become a bottleneck every time someone is promoted (or laid off :grimacing:).

Now, in addition to delegating the entire user management to someone (maybe, HR folks?), you can also extend user-related capabilities via custom access templates:

We are confident you (as always) will find a dozen more creative ways to utilize this functionality, but here’s our go-to suggestion:

  1. Add Head Field to your Team/Department DB.
  2. Create a Manager custom access template that extends user-management capabilities via Members Field.
  3. Enable automatic access via Head Field using that Manager template.

Now your Head of Design will be able to reactivate that user who tried working for a competitor but eventually came back with a new appreciation for the team.

  • AI: Fibery AI now knows about Embed Views
  • Whiteboard: Whiteboard is fully functional on iPads and other tablets now
  • Mobile: Database selector in view toolbar is updated
  • UI: We’ve polished Dark Mode across the app. Many UI elements are now easier to read, have better contrast, and feel more consistent with the Light theme

  • Core: Failure to create an entity with invalid rank
  • Mobile:
    • Whiteboard: Comments button doesn’t display in Toolbar in header on Whiteboard on Tablets and Mobiles
    • Whiteboard: History button doesn’t display in Toolbar in header on Tablets
    • Whiteboard: Fit to screen button doesn’t display in Toolbar in header on Tablets
    • Whiteboard: It’s impossible to add comment to Whiteboard on Tablet
    • It’s impossible to extend access in Access Template on Mobile
    • Access template capabilities are truncated on Mobile
    • Add Template button doesn’t disappear once you create new access template on Mobile
  • Automation: Replace ‘+’ button to ‘Add filter’ in Unlink/delete actions
  • Whiteboard: Can’t export to png specific whiteboard, cover unit breaks the export
  • Chat & comments:
    • Comments Actions control constantly blinks after opening emoji
    • Inline Comments: Link toolbar is hidden in inline comments
  • Integrations: Airtable connector: OAuth stopped working
  • Views: Undo stops working on views
  • AI Agent: Fibery AI sends empty secrets to document service sometimes and it leads to errors

P.S. Next week we are going to release Fibery custom Apps and new AI pricing model with credits :crossed_fingers:.

Any plans to let us integrate our own LLM accounts into Fibery so they can be leveraged natively within the Fibery AI module?

Fibery AI is very slow, provides basically no insights into it’s thought process while it plods along and ultimately seems much dumber how external LLMs + Fibery MCP perform, we would just prefer not to always have to leave the Fibery UI to get the intelligence we expect.

I know we’d also rather not have to micromanage separate AI credit pools for each tool we use when Claude/ChatGTP are quickly becoming the centralized hubs that connect disparate platforms together.

We will never do it, since we want to have freedom what provider to select etc. However, we do have plans to improve Fibery AI. Anyway, as you mentioned, Fibery MCP is the way to go for many tasks and thus you will not have to pay for credits anyway. I’d say for now we are mostly introducing them for Custom Apps and in the future automated things with Agents

When will you improve the MCP to make sure it can do everything? We wil not use the Fibery AI because you do not allow model control and it can only work in fibery not across other apps, but we are being held back alot because the MCP cannot do everything it needs to do.
