August 7, 2025 / ⛱️ Remote MCP Server, tons of small UI improvements

Fibery Remote MCP Server

MCP Servers are nice, but installation was painfully hard. Now Fibery supports Remote MCP and it means you can install it easily and authenticate via OAuth. Claude (Desktop and Web, paid plans only) and Cursor are supported as MCP Clients. If you want to use Fibery MCP in some other client, let us know.

Fibery MCP server includes dozen of tools with the full workspace schema access, advanced querying, entity manipulation, user context, and Fibery user guide search.

Check Fibery MCP Server user guide.

See Space access changes in Activity Log

Someone has lost their access to Space—but why? Previously, you used to either launch an investigation via our support, or cope with anxiety indefinitely.

Now, when someone shares a Space or changes access, you’ll see it in Activity Log:

If you notice something unexpected, you can go straight to Who’s DMs and ask questions. They must have had a reason! :crossed_fingers:

Next: the same for all kinds of access changes (Database, Field, Entity, Access Template).

:poop: Deteriorations

We’ve removed Smart Agent rules from automations so far. They were slow, caused problems to automations rules and not very consistent with the whole automations design. We will re-think them and re-add to Fibery in some future.

:sunflower: Small UI improvements

“The devil is in the details” they say… that’s what we thought when collected a list of (not-so) tiny UI improvements across Fibery. These won’t bring the revolution, but will definitely make Fibery look much more polished, refined and responsive. Some of the improvements included in today’s release are:

  • Rich Text: fixed paddings and styles in Table of Contents;
  • Tables: resize handles now match with others across UI; table cell headers are now truncated if don’t fit; drag handles increased in size; name of the Entity is now shown instead of 1 Item during reorder; open entity button > corner radius has been fixed;
  • Views: fixed size and positioning of Search in View input; fixed various button sizes and positioning; updated some copy of menus; fixed breadcrumb text styles and opacity; fixed buttons focus ring visibility;
  • Board View: Wide + New column is replaced with a very narrow + column, so you have more space for the Board View content.
  • Entity View: Improve collapsed Field visualization on Entity View. Many users struggled to notice when some top fields are is collapsed on when some rich text field is collapsed. In this release we’ve made an attempt to fix this problem. Now collapsed state is more visible in both places.
  • Other improvements: fixed badge text vertical alignment on Windows; replaced collapser components to new ones on Entity View; updated Tab component in Inbox and Comments; updated Color picker components; fixed Checkbox styles for unselected state; fixed color coding styles for Units used in Select/Multi-select Fields and across Views; updated Nothing found text styles in Sidebar; updated Tooltips and removed unnecessary Unit previews;

This is the first batch we are delivering today, more improvements to come :sparkles:

:butterfly: Improvements

  • Webhooks: Retry attempts increased from several minutes to 3 hours. In case of failure Fibery will send a notification to all admins
  • Whiteboard: Hide section name badge if user deletes name completely
  • Timeline View: Secondary dates are visible even if primary dates are not set
  • Sharing: when managing access for a User, see all Spaces they have access to, including those shared via User Groups
  • Home Page: Shared with Me and Watchlist widgets added to Home page

:shrimp: Fixed Bugs

  • Gantt View:
    • Highlight item in left column if it’s open in a panel
    • Dates don’t get select automatically when create relation Gantt/Timeline
  • Timeline View:
    • Timeline performance improvements
    • Sticky title glitches
    • Secondary date borders don’t display if primary range overlap secondary range and the entity is in selected state
    • Drag’n’drop experience is different for items in backlog
  • Permissions: User can Share only 1 item at the same time
  • AI Agent Build mode:
    • Create/Update Views with AI: “Is empty” filter doesn’t display on the view created with AI
    • Create/Update Views with AI: AI can’t add columns/rows to the board view
    • Create/Update Views with AI: AI can’t show avatar field as unit on views
    • AI can’t create workflow field when create Space
  • Email Integration:
    • Email Send: Plain text is not parsed to html which results in unformatted text
    • Email sync removes strikethrough text
  • Smart Folders & Context empire: Just added child entity does not appear in smart folder unless page is refreshed
  • Hierarchical List: It’s possible to add same database sometimes to List view/Smart folder config and it does not work
  • Whiteboard:
    • Tune text visibility based on zoom level
    • Whiteboard comments: navigation to thread anchor doesn’t place anchor at screen center
  • Documents / Rich Text: It’s impossible to convert checkbox to bullet or ordered list item
  • Filters: ‘Invalid time value’ error when user enters too large value for Date field filter

I think these would benefit from a “before and after” screenshot

I’ve read this one

  • Board View: Wide + New column is replaced with a very narrow + column, so you have more space for the Board View content.

But I still could not visualize what it was about until you’ve mentioned it’s a fix for a previously reported issue (and an annoying one at that).

Don’t get me wrong, this is a super cute pic

but in terms of explaining what actually changed, it’s not very helpful.

I noticed several UI improvements. Love them all! :sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:

BTW, loved this tweak on the callouts.

Speaking of UI improvements… I’m not sure if it’s possible to adjust paragraph spacing and line-height in rich text fields, as well as spacing between lists and images. Either way, I’d like to share my feedback about these elements.

I’m not sure if it’s possible to adjust paragraph spacing and line-height in rich text fields, as well as spacing between lists and images.

We use a relatively large line height for body text to ensure there is enough space for units in mentions. We’re working on finding the best way to adjust it. The small top padding on videos is a bug – we expect to have it fixed by next week. Thanks for the feedback!

The best thing this week, thank you! Other improvements to boards would be greatly appreciated, like:

  1. better visual separation between columns, like a simple 1px grey border.

  2. vertically stacking the row fields to the left of the first column and having that area be sticky, instead of having them all on one long line that creates a really visually awkward and distracting element between the column headers and the board cards. I hate that you lose the context of the row as you scroll to the right, and I hate that the name and fields on the row always get displayed inside the first column(s), but then the later columns might not have anything.

  1. allowing rollup summaries/totals of the fields on cards to be displayed in the column headers, similar to how tables work. For example, if I had 3 invoices in a single column, with “Amount” fields of $250, $500 and $1250 respectively, I would want the “Amount” of the column to show “$2000” and the “Count” of the column to show “3”. This is a pretty essential and common feature of any board/kanban view in most platforms.

This brings me so much happiness – I raised this issue in the Bugs board on this community THREE DAYS ago.

THREE DAYS.

(Another piece of software we use has something that has been fundamentally broken for YEARS and they haven’t addressed my reporting on it.)

And this webhook thing? It’s already addressed and fixed in this week’s release. That’s insanely impressive.

The responsiveness the Fibery team has to its users is unmatched. My account is probably in the bottom 0.1% of value to this company, but to see this quick turnaround on a fairly minor issue of mine just makes me want to continue to recommend Fibery to anyone I meet.

If you want to use Fibery MCP in some other client, let us know.

I posted about this earlier, but if you all have control over the existing Fibery server in Docker MCP Toolkit, but it’d be great to have the updated remote server available in the toolkit. That would also make moot my feedback that existing server in Docker mcp toolkit doesn’t have “host” input in the configuration Fibery MCP on Docker MCP Toolkit.

Would also love to see an official extension for Zed editor.

Finally I think it would be great if you all got the mcp server listed as official web or desktop extension in Claude Desktop and in the Cursor extensions marketplace instead of just being available as a custom connectors. It’s a very good marketing channel imho.

Thank you for such great feedback. However, it is not always the case, we also have bugs that live in our backlog for years, to be fair

Our business uses chatgpt instead of claude, can you create an mcp sonnection to that?

Yes, we will do it in near future

I had a really great experience with them today as well. Specifically with Michael. Once we got everything clear and in the open, he bent over backwards to help me. We’ve only been actual paying customers for a week or so and I don’t even have everything fully uploaded. Still, the responsiveness and the help I have gotten are just phenomenal.

Ngl I’d love to work for a company that has a clear vision like this dev crew.

The sheer quantity and frequency of features delivered is night-and-day compared to the software our team was previously using.
