March 19, 2026 / 🐙 Drag and drop text blocks, Fibery MCP Server 2.0, Folders in Favorites

This release focuses on quality of life improvements and Fibery MCP Server. Enjoy!

:honey_pot: Reorder text blocks via drag and drop

The wait is over. Hover over any block in the editor and a drag handle appears on the left. Grab it, move the block where it belongs, drop it. An insertion line shows exactly where it’ll land before you let go.

A few details:

  • Press Esc during a drag to cancel without making any changes.
  • Hold Option / Alt while dragging to duplicate a block instead of moving it.
  • When two panels are open, dragging a block from one to the other will copy it.

:octopus: Fibery MCP Server 2.0: 46 tools, unified with Fibery AI Agent

Fibery MCP Server got a major update today.

The server went from 12 tools to 46. Here’s what’s new:

  • Smarter querying. The query tool is more reliable and now supports aggregations — count, sum, avg, min, max — directly in queries, so agents can compute stats without pulling raw data.
  • Full-text search. New search tool finds entities and views across the entire workspace by keyword.
  • Activity history. New search_history tool exposes the complete change log — creates, updates, deletes, schema changes. Useful for audit reports and “what happened to this entity” investigations.
  • Views management. Agents can now create, update, query, and delete views — grids, boards, timelines, calendars, galleries, forms, documents, and more (Reports and whiteboards are not yet supported).
  • Schema management. Full control over workspace structure: create and delete spaces, databases, fields (primitive, relation, formula, workflow, single/multi-select), and rename or reorganize existing ones.
  • Data management. More tools added here, including entities deletion.
  • File attachment via URL. Files can now be attached to entities directly from a URL.

You can try prompts like:

  • I was on vacation for the last 2 weeks, what happened with features and projects?
  • Research ShapeUp process and setup new Space that follows it strictly
  • Audit features with no owner and no planned dates.

Check the Fibery MCP Server tools reference and connect to it via https://mcp.fibery.io/mcp

:star_struck: Create and organize Favorites with personal folders

You can now structure your Favorites into folders to keep important spaces, views, and documents tidy and easy to find. Create folders from the Favorites header → Drag and drop to reorder and nest folders → Drag any favorited item into a folder.

This is especially helpful if you have 15+ favorites and your sidebar started to feel messy.

Period filters in Audit Log and Trash

We’ve sped up Activity Log and Trash loading time and introduced periods filter. Now you can quickly filter changes for today, yesterday, last 7 days, etc. Custom dates are also supported if you need some specific timeframe.

User guide readable by AI

Previously, neither Claude, nor ChatGPT, nor Gemini could access our user guide, even with web search enabled:

Now they can! Whether you ask ChatGPT how to configure your workspace or vibe code a script with Claude Code, the guides will, well, guide the LLM:

If you want your published Spaces to be accessible to AI scrapers too, let us know.

:butterfly: Improvements

  • Search: Now you can find Space by its name.
  • Activity Log: Changes made by integrations are hidden by default now, click Auto changes filter to see them.
  • Files: Now you can delete files from the light-box preview.
  • Fibery AI: Now you can create and iterate on formulas right in Fibery AI. When have formula field edit opened, click Fibery AI, and your formula will be added to AI context.

:shrimp: Fixed Bugs

  • History & Audit Log:
    • Wrong icon for deleted document in Audit Log.
    • Lists sets to Empty value on deleting entity.
  • Mobile:
    • Time selection is broken in date picker.
    • An error occurs when trying to download the file from the file field: UnexpectedException: You don’t have permission to save the file.
  • Permissions: It’s impossible to revoke de-extended access to Space without extending it.
  • Architect mode: It’s possible to edit Workflow field in the User ( non-architect) mode in the Table view.
  • Entity View: Filter actions are partially hidden in EV rule popup.
  • Documents / Rich Text: Experience of using big and long tables improved.
  • Export Data: Fixed timeout in exporting HUGE workspace.
  • File Field:
    • Entity fails to be created if single-file field is removed from Quick add pop-up.
    • Using Ctrl+C/ctrl+V leads to unexpected results.
    • Drop zones stick in FireFox in specific case.
    • Confirmation pop-up in Quick add even if no changes were done if it contains file field.
  • Views:
    • Users see unnecessary error message “The user aborted a request” when configuring view.
    • Context views fail to be deleted/removed from Smart folder

P.S. Your feedback, emotions and questions help us improve :pager:

:clap:t3::heart: on everything!

:100: This will help with much more intelligent behaviour when entities exist but it creates new ones, when users query loosely and it says it cannot find something, and so many more cases.

:100: This will help a lot, too.

A major upgrade here and I’m sure @RonMakesSystems will be thrilled to see it works across two open panels!

Claude wasn’t able to open any documents yesterday. I think I need to reauth to fix. But I hope it’s back online!

I had to abandon my Favorites section since the personal tab UI breaks my workflow as systems admin. I’d love to see how/if other admins are able to regularly make use of the personal tab and if so how.

Last year I spent weeks trying to get automated project management summaries from Fibery AI and ultimately had to abandon the quest.

This is very promising! Will we eventually be able to get this on platform without needing an external app?

Try it now in Fibery AI

:pinched_fingers::man_cook:
perhaps my absolute favorite feature in a release packed with great ones!

BTW, maybe it’s me being dense, but on Windows app (or Firefox browser on Windows) I can’t get the “hold-alt to duplicate dragged block” functionality" to work.

Nice release, looking forward to playing with the text blocks a bit! One flag, this is still broken for me, even after re-installing the app.

On a fresh install, I can download until I close the app. Then when I reopen it and try to download, I get this error:

Also, and it may be a separate issue, I get this error when trying to Open In Browser:

It would be great be able to open a preview on the file so that you don’t end up downloading a bunch of copies every time you want to look at a file on the phone. Maybe even make it the default behavior.

Beautiful update!!

So many good stuff. I’ll be making a video about the new MCP with n8n, this new MCP server opens a lot of agentic possibilities!!

I think the drag and drop blocks is a relatively small thing that makes people stick just due to how simple it is to move things around and make it their own. Lovely!!

Drag, drag drag! I drag all the time! This is amazing!

This is huge! I was losing too much time making sure I was deleting the right file!

Thank you for the amazing work!

Dragging and dropping text across panels → Plans to drag and drop entities across views/panels? :eyes: :eyes:

Also, I personally find a bit weird that within a single entity, dragging and dropping moves it, but across entities it duplicates. I would have it move even when its across entities, and allow to duplicate with option. Personal preference.

Not in plans, but we do have it in backlog

Sure, but it is hard to do right, it will mess up with Undo, so we decided to do it this way

BTW, do you have any videos on the basics / setup of MCP for Fibery? I’m a complete newb and wondering if there’s any good info out there already pre-made

Publishing next week
Was waiting on this update after hearing about the AI visions for Fibery.

This is wonderful. Thank you.

But, I have just created a feature request for hierarchical, collapsed section moving, since I realised that in this update, that is not possible. If somehow this already is possible, and I missed it, please let me know how to do it .

To do what @RonMakesSystems says, and not run into the messy undo, perhaps you can leave the undo to be treated exactly as it would be if the user cuts from one doc and pastes into another i.e. you need the undo-move-across to detect that it is undoing a two-part action, and find its source action to undo after undoing its destination action:

  1. first undo the move into destination, just like undoing a paste would do.
  2. then undo the move out of source doc, just like undoing a cut would do.

Love Thursdays!

Quick question on the MCP. This morning I tried to see if the MCP could leave a comment on a specific entity. It looks like the MCP can enable/disable comment fields but it wasn’t able to actually leave a comment on an entity.

It can append things a description field however I like the separation of comments. Ideally my AI tools could leave a comment in Fibery and I could choose to keep/delete it. I want to avoid the scenario of it completely changing something in the Description field.

Same here.
