Faster Tables and Lists for large datasets

This feature was experimental, now it is enabled by default on all accounts. The best way to show the difference is the first load video (LTE network simulated):

A few specific things that changed from user point of view:

• The yellow “too many entities” banner is gone from Lists and Tables Views. A “Show more” button at the end of a branch replaces it.
• The Database screen now has “Show more” too, so you can finally page past the old 500-entity ceiling.
• We load 100 children per parent at a time. If you need to see more more use “Show more” button in the bottom of the sub-list.

Let users create new entities in relations and collections in Forms

Now you can let users to create new relations and new collection items via forms. For example, here when a user adds a new Project, she will be able to create new Initiative for this project and several new features for this project as well from a single form.

For relation you have to enable Allow to add new values setting. Note that this setting is per-relation, so you can allow to create entities in some relation, but do not allow to create them in another relation.

For collections you can configure fields that a user will fill. For example, for Feature you can enable several fields and they will be visible on a sub-form on Create action.

Permissions for public forms are based on form settings. Permissions for internal forms are respected for all users so it is totally safe to use.

Custom Whiteboard Templates

Admins can now save any whiteboard as a reusable template, making it easy for everyone in the workspace to start with the same layouts for planning, retrospectives, workshops, and more.

How it works:

1. Save a full whiteboard or selected objects as a Custom Template.
2. Templates appear in the Custom tab and are available to everyone in the workspace, including Private spaces.
3. Anyone can use templates, but only admins can create, edit, or delete them.
4. Templates include all visual content except Entity Cards, Comments, Views, Embeds, and Documents.

Note: Available on the Pro plan only.

We’ve also expanded the set of default templates and added categories to make them easier to work with. New templates include:

• Product Development Canvas
• Business Model Canvas
• Value Proposition Canvas (UVP)
• Crazy 8s
• Affinity Diagram
• Icebreaker
• Sprint Planning Board
• Sailboat Retrospective

• Swim Lane Diagram
• Flowchart

Undo for Automation History

Now you can restore any version of automation rule or button. Just open rule’s Activity and click Restore version button. This will be especially handy when we will allow AI to create and update rules (very soon).

Custom Apps in Space Templates

Now Custom Apps are included into Space Templates. When you will share some Space with Apps as a Template, the Apps will be installed as well (without tokens usage).

Custom Apps are still in experimental mode, you can enable them in Settings → Experimental Lab.

Quick Search in Entity Activity History

Now you can quickly search in entity Activity Log using plain text search. Nothing more to say.

Fixed Bugs

• Permissions:
  • Improve User visibility selector on Mobiles
  • Users DB doesn’t appear in Manage access for the chosen Users and Groups
  • Null in tooltip in access audit if user doesn’t have access to Group
• Gantt View:
  • It’s impossible to create entity with required fields or name by formula on gantt view
  • Collapse/Expand does not work for Gantt / Timeline views
  • Collapse/Expand stops working on the Gantt view if number-field or References units are added to the card
  • Gantt shows self-relation items outside of context filter
  • Grouping database/enum should be removed from Fields->Items
• Form View:
  • ‘Required’ icon should always be red
  • Required icon should no be displayed in the input if it already filled with value
• Formulas:
  • Generate icon via formula modal has old warning banners
  • Missing icon for ‘Add icon by formula’ menu
• Automations:
  • Pop-up about unsaved changes appeared in Rule /Button even if everything was already saved
  • Rule duplicating fails with ‘Something goes wrong’ error if it contains action with Account selected
• Entity View:
  • Replace Watch and Activity icons on Documents and Entity headers
  • Entity view gets unexpectedly deleted if user resizes related field collection. Horror
• Views: Units are not marked as selected if database has grouping on Table view
• Fibery AI Agent:
  • Agent updates Lookup fields to use filters
  • Fibery AI routes sub-agent’s answer to itself multiple times, so we forced it to shut up after two attempts
• Webhooks: Green dot is deformed if there’s long db name in Webhooks table
• Duplicate Field: Can’t edit single select duplicated to my specific Space
• Export Data: Related field values are not exported in CSV
• Whiteboard: Export selection as image / copy image to clipboard / print does not capture text on lines

Let users create new entities in relations and collections in Forms

Thanks for giving love to forms!

Just a few things:

1. I’m just a bit confused, when does it show “Link” vs “Create” vs both buttons. I’ve been getting different behavior for different forms/databases.

2. Also wondering if this can be set up as different relation views, table, calendar, etc.

3. This is slowly making form view closer to entity view, so I’m wondering if there is a future where there is some relation between form views and entity views. Related to: Open new entity in side panel for data input instead of form or in-line

And the performance improvements, custom apps in templates, and search in activity is lovely as well. Looking forward to the rich text field history to be unified there too.

If adding things to space templates is still on theme, could this be considered? Workspace/Space Templating with Custom Integration

@mdubakov Sorry for posting here. But since you announced faster load for large datasets I thought I’d ask whether this is a bug or expected behavior?
