One of my Fibery spaces is a CRM and I track Opportunities won. Each Opportunity has a “Duration” (Which is a DateTimeRange) and a “Committed” number of hours.
Client A - Oct 1st, 2022 → Dec 31st, 2022 - 45 hour commitment (retainer)
Client B - Nov 1st, 2022 → Nov 2nd, 2022 → 16 hour commitment (on-site )
I can’t really find a way to calculate my saturation / utilisation for any given month or quarter.
Has anyone done this before?
What is your definition of ‘saturation/utilisation’? Is is calculated per week, per day, per month?
What is your max availability? Do you include weekends/holidays?
I suspect you can do this using a report view, but need to know the answers to such questions first.
100% utilisation is 120 hours per month, or 15 days.
OK, so taking an example (slightly different to your above)
Client A - Sep 5th, 2022 → Nov 20th, 2022 → 45 hour commitment
Client B - Oct 25th, 2022 → Nov 8th, 2022 → 16 hour commitment
What would be the answer to your utilisation for Sep, Oct and Nov?
What would be the answer to your utilisation for Q3 and Q4?
(and if it’s not obvious, please explain how the calculation should work)?
I actually don’t know how to answer that and will accept any ideas you’ve seen work before
