Views table: Prevent creation of new entities when pasting over multiple levels

This I consider an issue, because of unexpected behavior that creates new unwanted data.

When pasting table values that cover multiple levels in the entity hierarchy, then the pasting action creates new (empty) entities.

The intention of the user is clearly to not create new entities, but to set values for existing entities. This should be anticipated in the processing of pasted values.

I don’t understand what the sequence of events is that you are describing. Perhaps you can record a video, or write a list of steps to reproduce
