Persistent buttons in View toolbar

A suggestion to improve how actions are performed in Views.

Currently, when selecting multiple records, action buttons appear at the bottom of the screen. This works well for basic bulk editing.


Suggestion:

Allow adding persistent action buttons to the View toolbar (top area near filters), which are always visible and represent available operations. And add ability to add on them for exmaple scripts or automations. (And they will have ability to make things not tied to items - they can make webhook call or something else)


Example use cases:

  • Archive all items with Status = Done

  • External process - call webhook - automation takes items from base with needed status - into ChatGPT - analysis - result - …

  • Run a script for Alerts in Slack


This approach would make Views feel more like operational interfaces, where actions are clearly visible and can perform external actions or additional scripts and automations. :grinning_face:
