If you right click an entity, you have so many more options (expand, open in new tab, copy link, add to favorites, watch/unwatch). If you checkmark (table) or drag to select (other views) an entity, all of these options go away.
I understand why some of these options need to disappear for multi select. But if I checkmark a single entity, why aren’t those options still available to me? That seems unpolished.
Important Example
I needed to deactivate a terminated employee this morning. It took me way too long to figure out how to deactivate on the new table. Because if you click the row checkmark first, right clicking won’t show a deactivate option. I added in the ‘Active?’ column, but that isn’t editable. I had to open that users entity page and click the ‘…’ in the top right corner to find the deactivate button, which led me down the rabbit hole of why that button wasn’t available on right click on the table view.
Solution
- Fibery should really be able to differentiate if a single entity is selected. There should be no difference in the right click menu for a rogue right click vs a checkmarked right click if there is only a single entity.
- Certain actions - like deactivate user, or add to favorites, or even open in new tab - should be available when multiple options are selected. Why can’t I deactivate 10 employees at one time if I needed to?
