I’d love to create fields that count the number of characters and words in a rich text field.
This could be used in a content app to manage social media posts, ad copy, or to draft long form content.

Good idea, but I think we should just add this info right into rich edit field. So you don’t have to create this formula at all.

As a workaround I’ve done this already using button + custom field and function:
This is the first feature I’ve needed from rich text field, would be great to see it bundled natively!
