Many text editors have character / wordcount options on textfields.
We have some pages where we prepare things like social media posts and character CVs, and seeing word/character count would help (as these often have a character limit).
I would expect this to be a handy feature on the multiline text fields, where it shows the words and characters (or only the words, and characters on hover) while you are typing.
