How to properly format location field via automations?

I have a bunch of entities in a “service area” database that are named as cities (New York, Paris, London, etc)

I’m trying to use a rule to convert and populate the name of the entity into a location field, but everything I try to do ends up as the type “Text” when Fibery wants the type “Location”.

What format does a location need to be in to be able to populate it via automations?

I can get it somewhat working with AI but it doesn’t seem to be using the ideal formatting for my needs.

The pins show up on the map OK, but the results are blank when I try to extract any parts of the address using a formula.
