Customize which entity fields (units) are displayed in Grid View relation columns

In a Rich Text we can customize which fields are displayed for inline entity references.

This is very useful, and it would be equally useful in other contexts – e.g. in Grid view Relation columns, it would be super useful to be able to customize which fields are displayed for each entity (instead of only the entity Name).

If this gets added, it would be great if the configuration is on a View-basis unlike Rich Text, where the field config seems to be global.
