Update for the PRO plan
Another, cleaner, workaround has been possible for a while now, by:
- Creating a Form for the Database. Do not worry about how it looks, since in the “entity creator pop-up” will show the form in compact format, just as it does with the default form.
- Set that new form’s “Required Form” Setting to true, just as the image below shows.
- Now, even in a relation field cell, a new entry will get the form pop-up.
NOTE: This does not solve the issue of user-input being discarded, but at least does not make the user think the input was saved, since the pop-up prevents the silent creation of the entity, shows the fields needed to create the new entity, and the user input is found nowhere on that pop-up.
