The new speed of entity loading is great, but it makes the entity load in 3 to 4 different chunks.
- Name + Fields loaded in the view
- Other fields
- Rich text
- To-many relations
This isnt per-se a problem, but the issue is that the scaffolding for the data is not there.
In the past, if the network was slow, it loaded the field titles in the right places, but the actual data within the field took a second to load. I liked this approach much more since it meant that the user knew that things were loading still. Now it feels a bit off.
If the entity layout is cached and the scaffolding of the fields (with loading state) would show immediately on open it would feel even snappier.
This isn’t that big of a deal, but it does make it feel more polished.
