Real granular permissions

I don’t know if it has been requested before or some clunky workaround has been suggested, but it would be good to have actual granular level permissions in Fibery:

Field level permissions

Basically, hide certain fields in a DB from certain users. Like actually hide or show. And allow edit or only view access.

E.g. 1., in a DB, show all fields to user A, but don’t show field X to user B (he can see the rest). Show only fields P, Q, R and X to user C. Show only all fields except P, Q, R, to User D.

E.g. 2., in a DB, allow user A to view and edit all fields, User B can view all, edit all, but can edit only conditionally (e.g., can enter fees charged not below x amount, so validation rule). User C can only view all fields, he cannot edit any field. User D can view all fields, but can edit only some fields.

Current workaround of maintaining “separate DB with special fields” with one to one relation to original DB is fragile, and simply doesn’t work and is not scalable. Some fields are special for certain users, some are not. We don’t know beforehand which fields should be in separate DB. Better way would be to simply have this feature natively in fibery.

Currently, other apps do support it: Twenty CRM, Nocodb, etc.

So, it would be great if you could add it in $15 plan.

Row level permissions

So, hide certain entity records in the DB from certain user.

E.g. 1., This can be based on some criteria, e.g., only X region users should see Leads of X region. Or, a user can only see Deals with less than x amount.

E.g. 2., in a DB, User A can view all records, but can create or delete none. User B can create, view, but can delete only his own created records, and not other’s. User C can create, view, and delete any record in a DB.

Currently, other apps do support it in their higher plans: Twenty CRM, Nocodb, etc.

So, it would be great if you could add it in $24 plan.

Fibery

I’ve tried and tested Twenty CRM and Nocodb, but fibery is simply amazing at all the other things (speed, UI, flexibility, unlimited usage, pricing), except permissions. If only permissions are improved, then I don’t think there is anything else left to be improved in fibery, and no reason for any org of any size to not use Fibery.

Currently personally using Fibery pro plan. Hope you do tackle permissions comprehensively by 2027. Best wishes.
