We should be able to define which file should be displayed like this based on extension like .jpd, .mp4 etc., and if there are multiple files of that type, then a setting to either display all or the latest or oldest one would be perfect
Do not expect much today
will whiteboard support better handling of the relations between entities, right now it doesnāt have labels, or styling and becomes useless at scale.
Also, adding new entities keeps rearranging all the existing ones that it is connected to, all of which makes the whiteboard useless to visualise the relational mapping between entities
Calendar gang: rise your pitchforks!
All joking aside, glad to see the fast progress (as always), and hoping calendar view will get some love to make it more usable in the near future
You donāt even realize anymore how much
you deliver
Nobody noticed we updated the Calendar view styles a few weeks ago!
As Michael said - do not expect too much, but some Calendar view improvements are definitely coming
about calendar view, can i direct request for secondary dates for this view ? Iāve raised this problem a lot, but seem noone care about this.
The actual dates vs planned dates worked too good in timeline and gantt view. Hope this can be in calendar view too
Are you planning the mobile app to have full offline mode? It would make it really useful and fast
No plans for offline this year unfortunately.
Uh I didnāt notice! Iāll check it out! Thanks!
I am personally missing 2 things mainly:
- ability to filter the backlog
- ability to drag-and-drop from the backlog to a specific day and time (Task X > monday 10 am - 11 am)
This all looks great and Iām really excited about the direction Files are takingāespecially the addition of Gallery View and inline previews.
A few additional enhancements Iād love to see in this area:
- Image support via lookups or formulas
- It would be incredibly useful to reference images from related entities, especially now that visuals are becoming more prominent in views.
- This also could be accomplished by giving views the ability to select a parent files field for cover images
- Upload restrictions per file field
- Limit to a single file where appropriate
- Restrict by file type (e.g., only images: PNG, JPEG, TIFF, etc.)
These features would bring a lot more control and flexibility to workflows where visual assets play a central role. Looking forward to seeing how this evolves!
This is a part of Gallery View and while we wanted to do it in Q3, we did not started yet. Still on the radar for Q4 though.
Awesome! Thanks Michael
