Pricing discussion

Hi I’ve tested most of the tools on market on myself / my team or on my clients.
I really like Fibery but i have huge problem with it’s pricing model. Why? Most of paid users in my teams will use only few Basic Features in our workspaces.
That’s why I really like pricing of Coda.io - I’m willing to pay more for „admin role” called Doc Editor. But I believe that users who only ‚use’ fields in everyday tasks should not have the same pricing. I know there’re free Guests accounts - but this is not enough usually. Things like adding a new task through ‚form’ might sound like a good idea - but it’s not

I feel you, but coda pricing is an exception and I always thought it is not sustainable for the long run. Fibery pricing is on par with all other similar tools and we are not going to change that.

Well I’m not judging coda pricing. But my suggestion was that this might be a direction worth exploring. In my case I see to point of paying ‘full price’ for admin roles, but I would appreciate ‘member’ pricing with limited functionality. If you want to become more mainstream solution. Because…
I won’t agree that current pricing is aligned with competition. It is if you consider fibery ‘Personal productivity’ or you really believe it can replace multiple tools (it can replace some in very particular cases). Fibery compared to ClickUp, Notion, Coda, Linear etc - is most expensive. And this might be result of ‘permission’ system - cause now it seems that you are forced to use Access Templates which are only available in Pro (24$/m).
Few months ago we could argue that Fibery has a builtin AI and the usage limit is very high, but these days buildin AI is obsolete compared to what we have on market currently. Btw this is another subject - being able to connect my own API model that I pay for anyway and it’s much better (Sonar + DeepSeek). So anyway … AI is not argument.
I’ve watched all you videos and read all your blog posts so you seems as a very smart person, but … I have a feeling you have a developer / power user or corporate perspective - and that’s fine. I mean maybe Fibery is suppose to be a tool only for big companies (where they will be paying too much for basic features, but they don’t care, because they’re big).
And there’s also discussion about missing features, bugs, etc - let me paste below just ‘biggest’ pains or questions I have for now. But this is also a question of pricing - Am I willing to pay 100$ monthly for a team of 5 where many features are missing or unclear or bugged or needs workarounds
Just a brief set of challanges:

  • Add Time log only for people assigned to a task
    • Right now different user with access to a Project (expanded) can add Time log to any task
  • Hide People space, sometimes People database is shared with some random user no idea why
  • I want people to be able to review their tasks in all projects in a single view
  • I assume that non-paid users can’t add tasks on View?
  • In All Your Content - not showing ‘cover photo’
  • I would like to have One Button in a Space to Add Time Logs or to be able to update all at once (if the name is generated automatically, adding entity ‘time log’ requires few additional steps)
  • When I create Related task or other entity inside a Doc - It should inherit values like Project at least?
  • Is there a way to have ‘hidden conversation’ field or just hidden description field in Entity that Clients won’t be able to see?
  • Files in the workspace… it’s impossible to to find file if you don’t remember the entity name
  • Adding files in comments
  • Easier task entry for external guests without a form and being able to link entered task with user (now when my client adds a task with a form… it’s related to the same project but if project has so many tasks - it’s difficult to find for client / I can’t use Created By filter for them)
  • Create a Filter for Time Logs to be able to just have timelogs from whole last month grouped by project
  • When I use ‘Convert to’ I Would like to keep Project field value
  • When I move task to final state I want user to add time logs - use user input, but I can’t
  • Copy Access Templates, copy buttons, etc …
  • Permissions are great… and on the other side I still struggle to understand

Thank you for the list of problems, I will link it to correspondent features and product areas we have in our backlog.
If you find a tool where this list is shorter, you should definitely select this tool, since it fits better for your needs. Fibery is not a tool for everyone, maybe for your use cases it does not work good enough and cheaper price will not solve it. We are making Fibery better every week, so eventually I hope this list will be shorter and shorter.
