So much exciting stuff here! So excited about suggestions and custom entity views! And the improvements to tables!
Can these by “deleted” in suggestions? Or can edits within elements (like tables and quotes) be done with suggestions? Or is the limitation only to adding elements?
I think Fibery is preferable to Zite now, having tested out a few custom app views over the weekend. With one exception: Fibery is not my recommend application for external apps & portals. I still put my clients in Zite for that.
I look forward to the time when we have effective public sharing!
100% agree @helloitse! I’ve been biting my nails waiting for Fibery to launch custom [affordable] external apps / authenticated portals. I’ll make it rain that Thursday! ha
Not very sophisticated or original but I’ve been trying to make a tidier task view. Unfortunately, the comments and entity/relation pickers aren’t as functional as Fibery’s built-in functions, but hopefully they’ll get there!
Wow, you’re spoiling us! Thank you for all these great features!!
So glad you’ve added this, and it will make it much easier for me to convince my team to use Fibery more. Some initial feedback:
I love that the suggestions can come from an agent
I think the UI is pretty clean and easy to use
UI(?) suggestions:
I would love if the comments and suggestions could appear down the margin like they can in Google Docs (see picture)
I would also love if suggestions/comments appeared in the same stream in the side panel, rather than separate tabs for Suggestions and Comments. Perhaps a toggle to switch between them if you want to see just one? But I often want to review both at once
It would be great in general to have a “For you” tab in the side panel. See picture 2 for how Google Docs does this, which I think is good.
Can you add a keyboard shortcut for toggling Suggest Changes mode, please?
I think resolved Suggestions should be listable like resolved comments are. Again, ideally in the same “Resolved” stream
If I was to rank what I want to see most, it would be the core set of what Google Docs can do:
The UI improvements I mentioned
Keeping a record of resolved suggestions
Table-related edits
Images
Formatting (these are the lowest stakes kind of edit I think, so it’s often fine to make them without approvals)
This is awesome! I forgot to ask! How do permissions work here? Does the user need access to entity the original file is stored (like a rich text field) or just access to the entity with the lookup/formula (like a text field)?
Either works, just important to know and show on user guide. Thanks!
