MacOS app - Open links from external source

Hey guys, I have issue/idea:

On macOS I use Fibery app and Velja app for management which app opens which URL - for example links on Google Meet opens every time in Google Chrome instead Safari (my default browser).

I have tried set Fibery URLs (xxx.fibery.io) open in Fibery app, but with no luck - Fibery app opens but no next action - no new tab, no reload existing tab with received URL, nothing.

Is it a bug or for now Fibery app can’t open links „from outside“?

I am also missing this functionality. There is a sentence than mentions this here. I would like this feature very much, as the links opening in the browser is quite annoying if you want to use the desktop app.

Not sure if you still want this solved, but the solution I’m using is a small app called Finicky that allows me to route specific domains to different browser. Works like a charm for me.

I’ve noticed a similar behavior when trying to manage how links open in different apps on macOS. It seems that while the system can trigger the Fibery app, the actual URL context often isn’t passed along, which results in the app opening without loading the intended content. This feels less like a configuration issue and more like a limitation in how external URLs are being handled.

Has anyone tested alternative ways to pass links into apps, or found a workaround that ensures the full link is recognized? I came across some useful references while exploring workflow optimizations and URL handling, which highlight how structured link management can improve consistency across different tools: https://philleywood.com/collections/cycling-gloves.

Would be great to hear if others have managed to make Fibery handle external links properly, or if this is just a current gap in functionality.
