June 19, 2025 / Gantt View, Fibery AI Build mode, Import data even if you are not a Creator, and more

This is so interesting to me. Been following Fibery development for 3 years now and your process always appears to be incredibly thought out. This reads as just a random decision which goes against every scheduling software worth their weight.

For complicated schedules, Fibery is never going to replace a dedicated software, something like Oracle Primavera P6 or any of its competitors. Especially without relationship properties. That’s not a knock against Fibery, just the reality of how many scheduling specific features are built into these dedicated software. But Fibery can do things these other software will never be able to do, like easily connecting whatever databases of information you want to integrate into your schedule, or easily manipulating your schedule with buttons.

I’m a general contractor for healthcare environments. Like many industries, construction requires extremely complicated schedules. There’s too many features missing to use Fibery as the main scheduler for my projects, but I could at least visualize milestones. This would be amazing for my company and could be one of our most looked at views.

Current Version (List View Only)

This first picture is how the gantt view currently looks. Personally, I want my fields on the left sidebar, so that I can see their values even when the timeline bar isn’t within frame. To say that a different way, I don’t want to go hunting to find the values.

This is a made up example, but this is the bare minimum number of fields I would want to see and already it is hard to read because of how “dense” it is. In my opinion, that density you talked about makes it significantly more heavy, not less. This forces me to keep the people field as avatars because it would make the lines way too long, but this makes every activity name start at different point which looks sloppy.

I don’t want to be harsh, but I would never print this out to show a client.

Proposed Option (Table View)

Table view already has so many useful features, like row height and column sums. Again, this is a made up example so fill in whatever useful relationships make sense for your industry, but here you can very easily read and find the information you need, quickly go through and change values because you are moving orthogonal instead of hunting around, and it even takes up less space then the list view above!

The cherry on top is that I would easily print this and include it in a report to a client. It looks incredibly clean.

I really think you should consider adding separate field columns as an option. Fibery + Gantt View has so many insane possibilities and it’s been my number one Fibery wishlist item for 2 years now, but in its current form I am in no hurry to do anything with it.
