June 19, 2025 / Gantt View, Fibery AI Build mode, Import data even if you are not a Creator, and more

Yes, I’m also wondering about this. The left sidebar in the Gantt view is usually used for aligning rows, and sometimes for calculating some kind of metric. The list view also has its perks, but it doesn’t create the right kind of order for displaying things visually.

I totally understand the need to improve Fibery’s monetization, and we’re very grateful for the support through the startup program, it’s been hugely valuable for us. That said, are you sure about putting a core feature like the new Gantt view behind higher-tier plans?

It reminds me a bit of what ClickUp did when they moved subtasks to more expensive tiers; it created friction and made us consider other tools. I’m also sure that some potential new users may have discarded the tool for that reason.

As a user, I fully get that advanced features like AI, automation, or advanced permissions can be reserved for premium plans. But when more basic things like a view mode are restricted, it feels arbitrary and raises questions about how future features (or even current ones) might be handled.

Just wanted to share that perspective.

I understand your concerns.

It is extremely unlikely that any existing feature will be moved to Pro. As for new features, there are chances that some of them will be added in Pro only or even in Enterprise only (especially around permissions). Gantt is not an exception, for example, in Free plan you don’t have some Views as well.

Note that we do not restrict even advanced features, like automations and AI, they are still available in cheapest plan.

No particular reason, we decided this design will be less heavy and more dense. So far we will not change it, but we will accumulate feedback and with time it may happen

To me, it’s surprising that in a standard plan, I have access to AI, unlimited guests, and even Whiteboards, but not to a view of my data in Gantt form.

Airtable’s latest release is a stark example of this. They “rebuilt everything with AI first” apparently

would it at least be possible to allow the pro features for those of us who have committed to the legacy pro plan for a year  ? We really need unique fields and Gantt view!

Hmm, if you are on any pro plan you should have it

Same impulse on my side:
The Gantt view is already my favorite choose - but a combination with the table features would unlock the ultimate power.
I personally don’t like list view and especially after introducing the SUM functionality in table view, I see few reasons to user other views.

This is so interesting to me. Been following Fibery development for 3 years now and your process always appears to be incredibly thought out. This reads as just a random decision which goes against every scheduling software worth their weight.

For complicated schedules, Fibery is never going to replace a dedicated software, something like Oracle Primavera P6 or any of its competitors. Especially without relationship properties. That’s not a knock against Fibery, just the reality of how many scheduling specific features are built into these dedicated software. But Fibery can do things these other software will never be able to do, like easily connecting whatever databases of information you want to integrate into your schedule, or easily manipulating your schedule with buttons.

I’m a general contractor for healthcare environments. Like many industries, construction requires extremely complicated schedules. There’s too many features missing to use Fibery as the main scheduler for my projects, but I could at least visualize milestones. This would be amazing for my company and could be one of our most looked at views.

Current Version (List View Only)

This first picture is how the gantt view currently looks. Personally, I want my fields on the left sidebar, so that I can see their values even when the timeline bar isn’t within frame. To say that a different way, I don’t want to go hunting to find the values.

This is a made up example, but this is the bare minimum number of fields I would want to see and already it is hard to read because of how “dense” it is. In my opinion, that density you talked about makes it significantly more heavy, not less. This forces me to keep the people field as avatars because it would make the lines way too long, but this makes every activity name start at different point which looks sloppy.

I don’t want to be harsh, but I would never print this out to show a client.

Proposed Option (Table View)

Table view already has so many useful features, like row height and column sums. Again, this is a made up example so fill in whatever useful relationships make sense for your industry, but here you can very easily read and find the information you need, quickly go through and change values because you are moving orthogonal instead of hunting around, and it even takes up less space then the list view above!

The cherry on top is that I would easily print this and include it in a report to a client. It looks incredibly clean.

I really think you should consider adding separate field columns as an option. Fibery + Gantt View has so many insane possibilities and it’s been my number one Fibery wishlist item for 2 years now, but in its current form I am in no hurry to do anything with it.

fantastic, will talk to the support person about this!

I’m just noticing this now, but the new Gantt view has a feature I’ve been requesting for a very long time. which is context filters being available at all levels, instead of only able to be applied to the top level.

@mdubakov Can you please allow List and Table views to have the same context filtering options as Gantt views?
