GitHub Apps are the officially recommended way to integrate with GitHub because they offer much more granular permissions to access data (GitHub docs: apps)
I can’t give Fibery blanket access to everything that I can do on GitHub.
A personal token would be a little bit better, but the GitHub integration eventually has to be via a GitHub app.
@jean1 I have to agree. I can’t give full access to the code, because it’s a huge security risk.
Why does the fibery github integration need read and write access to the code?
In my case I just want to sync the Issues and Pull Requests to fibery, as described in the help https://help.fibery.io/en/articles/4542216-github-integration
BTW when I add my Organization, then the Fibery has access to all repositories and the code.
This setting or missing feature prevents me from continuing to use fibery.
Any updates on this? We love Fibery, but the 1-hour delay with the GitHub integration is becoming a real blocker.
It’s slowing down our workflow enough that we’re seriously considering switching back to Notion. Their GitHub integration was near-instant and made collaboration much smoother.
I’m curious - how does the Fibery dev team work with such a long sync delay?
