Export and then Import Workspace

Hi,

So I want to migrate some content from one workspace to another. There is the option to export my whole workspace and then there is an option to import CSV or Markdown of max 50MB in another workspace.

What I think should be possible:

  1. Importing a Fibery Workspace export ZIP larger than 50MB
  2. Generating links, mentions and formatting in an import. Right now, that does not seem to work even if I export a singular document.
  3. Export an individual Space
  4. Selecting only some Spaces to export (obviously references to not-exported spaces will break)

Help appreciated, thanks!

Fibery to Fibery sync can handle it, but it is in Enterprise plan only

You can export a subset of all spaces via the workspace map. You can toggle which spaces to include, and any cross-space links between entities in these spaces will be retained.

Thanks, @mdubakov!
I’d definitely understand that sync would be an Enterprise feature, but I think an Export+Import functionality should be available on all plans. Utilisation limits may trigger, but I should be able to migrate data… or hibernate it for a while and then import it back in the future.

Thanks for the pointer @Chr1sG! Very helpful! Maybe a little help texting the Export pointing or even linking to the Workspace map would be helpful.
Also I still think Export in the context menu of a space would belong next to the Import.

Thanks again!

Considering the limit on migrating large numbers of entities with the templates, I think what would be helpful would be to allow:

  1. Select which databases to export
  2. Select a few sample entities to export: Choosing None, up to 5 or all

That should cover most scenarios needed.
Thanks!
