Bug Report: Entity View Navigation Freezes / Fails to Update
Summary:
When navigating between multiple views within a single entity, the interface occasionally becomes stuck and fails to switch views. The visible data does not update, even though a different view is selected.
Steps to Reproduce:
-
Open an entity that contains several views.
-
Switch between views multiple times.
-
Occasionally the interface stops responding — the new view does not load, and the previous view’s data remains on screen.
-
Selecting a different entity (outside the one currently frozen) causes the interface to “unstick.” Afterward, switching views may temporarily work again.
Expected Behavior:
Selecting a new view should always update the displayed data for the current entity without requiring navigation to another entity.
Actual Behavior:
The interface sometimes freezes on one view, ignoring attempts to switch views until the user navigates away from the current entity.
Environment:
-
App: Fibery (Web)
-
Browser: [e.g., Chrome 141.0.0.0]
-
OS: [e.g., Windows 10 64-bit]
-
Occurrence: Intermittent (happened twice in the last 24 hours)
-
First instance: Occurred while I was actively working to gather information. It’s possible Fibery had gone idle briefly while I was researching, but not significantly longer than usual.
-
Second instance: Occurred after Fibery had been left open and idle for a while. When I returned, the current entity view was frozen and would not switch.
-
Notes:
I’m not certain whether Fibery being idle for any length of time is a contributing factor, but since the most recent occurrence definitely followed a period of idleness, that seems like the only consistent variable so far.
Additional Context:
This issue occurs in a Research space I’m using for comparing multiple APIs. Each entity represents a different service, and each view displays a distinct data slice (e.g., endpoints, parameters, authentication methods).
