Double click to open rich text fields

It’s quite common across most table/spreadsheet/database like applications to be able to freely navigate in the table by mouse while also avoiding any new UX/UI effects without “opt in” decision so to speak.

I find it quite annoying that rich text fields by default open the rich text UI when sometimes I click around the table to simply navigate to a column beside it casually via arrow key or if I just simply clicked by mistake.

It feels like it would be a nice addition to require a double click to open the rich text fields.

I have been avoiding rich text fields, as much as possible, for the same reasons! I kept clicking in them. That being said it would be nice to be able to open the entity with something like cmd+click, I know there’s the option to right-click, but you still have to be carefully you are in the right place when you click and then find the “expand” …
