The desktop app is pretty solid but what it misses from the browser is a simple Ctrl + F search which is crucial when looking at a list and trying to easily find an item.

I agree with this. In my opinion, ctrl+f (or some in-document/in-text field search) is the biggest thing missing in the desktop app.

I strongly support this request (I also requested it several times). A further improvement could be to complete the FIND function (ctrl+F) with a FIND AND REPLACE function (ctrl+H in many cases).
