[DONE] Add blocking/blocked by to issues and projects in linear integration

Now that Fibery has entity dependencies, would love to see that for the issues and projects DBs in the linear integration.

Do you mean Issues blocking Issues? If so, have you tried setting a self-relation field as a dependency relation?

Of course, if you are talking about cross-database dependency, then this won’t be available any time soon.

I’ve used the self-relation field as dependency relation in other databases. That was the source of inspiration for this request: to have Fibery’s Linear integration set issue to issue or project to project (relations within the same Fibery database) blocking/blocked by dependency relations during the sync.

Ah, so you are saying that you are specifically missing the ‘blocked by / blocking’ relation info in the sync’ed data?
I thought that you meant you wanted to add dependency visualisation to the existing issue-to-issue relationship :person_facepalming:

And if the ‘blocking’ relation were present, ideally Fibery would automatically set it as a dependency relation (to save you from having to manually mark it)?

yes and yes!

Seems like there’s been some work on this (or my memory is bad). I now see in the Project database from the Linear integration that Project entities have a Blocking and Blocked By relationship (though it’s not a visible field during the integration set up/configuration). The blocking/blocked by relationships I have for projects in Linear are not being mapped to these Fibery relationships though.

The Issues in the Linear Issue database still do not have blocking/blocked by relationship to other issues, but I think it’s the same api structure as it is for projects.

If anyone from Fibery can update on this, that’d be appreciated!
