When a date field is configured as a start and end date, actually getting the start and end date selected when the same day applies but the time differs is incredibly frustrating.

+1 - setting date ranges is very hard, once the date picker has a date inside, it often doesn’t want to accept any new values.
Been thinking about migrating any date range fields to 2 date fields.

Agreed. Date range field still needs a good amount of polish.
