We’ve received feedback that the current checkbox implementation is causing confusion for some users.
Specifically, a checkbox labeled “Do Not Call” is being misinterpreted — some team members are assuming it is always checked by default. To help avoid further misunderstandings, could we update the checkbox behavior so that:
- The label text can be customised for both the checked and unchecked states, or
- The label can be hidden entirely if desired.
This would greatly improve clarity and usability for all users, regardless of technical familiarity.
I think its a great idea, but until its implemented, I found that adding a question mark makes it more clear whats true and whats false. So “Do Not Call?” makes it clear that when its checked, you shouldn’t call. Not sure if that helps or not for now.
Agree. It could be similar behaviour to all other fields which is “Hide if empty”
Checkboxes have both so it could be "Hide if " although, depending on how you label the checkbox, "Hide if "
The current way is very confusing UX. Adding a question mark helps in some cases but I still have to read the words and decide yes or no (cognitive effort) and clutter
