Can´t create new Entity from within a Text when Name field is created by formula

I have a space “Activities” with DB Posts, Meetings

Meetings dont show up when selecting a text in a Doc to create a new Entity. I guess this is because i have a formula on the name field? when linking I can create a new Meeting that is unnamed. But selecting a text and creating a new one is not possible.

is this by design?

It is indeed the intended behaviour. Since any created item needs to take it’s name from the highlighted text, dbs that use name formulas cannot be chosen. Otherwise, it would result in the selected text instantly being changed when made into a mention.
