Could the “New X” CTAs that appear on hover at the bottom of each kanban board column be simplified to just a simple “New…” link that is always present and shows a dropdown containing the valid types? (much like Notion?) This is what the New button in top right does and each column has the same items to create entities per type in the “…” menu.
I find the current UX a problem because:
- the on/off hover behaviour is somewhat distracting when moving around a view
- boards with several included types result in the next rows being pushed down by quite a space
