I would love to be able to insert Buttons (actions) into Rich Text/Canvas views!

I am envisioning creating “How To” documents and embedding instructions for the user into Entity descriptions, to guide the user through various workflows and activities of the system.

It would be useful to have a Document or entity that describes some activities for the system, and also presents the user with buttons to trigger those activities.

It will also be useful when links in Rich Text have the ability to specify a separate anchor text, as well as the _target option to open the link in the 1) a new tab, 2) the same tab, or 3) a new panel (where relevant).

I think all uses of this feature would center on making clear what the CTA is and guiding user attention/action.
New Use Case:

  • When publishing a position using a button to redirect viewers to the Application form link
  • In my recruiting space, I have one document that functions as a dashboard for us internally. It’d be great to trigger actions like sending emails to every candidate who matches a filter.
