Allow Dashboard Views for Folders

Today’s folders function similar to the space names in the left sidebar. But while I find that the folders are great for organizing the information, “what in the sidebar is related to each other?” they add too many clicks.
The folders are not just a one-time click problem though, in order to see the page we need, we must first unfurl all the nested location data. For example: Folder → Space → View and then, the whole tree remains open in the sidebar until you manually toggle one level closed, or all levels.

This request is about considering the UX. If we could toggle on dashboard views for folders, we could turn the folder itself into a “homepage” of sorts for sections in Fibery.

I just checked, and a folder can contain a dashboard view. Is that what you are asking for?

Or do you mean that the folder should be a dashboard, allowing it to serve as a clickable view as well as a container for nested items?

The latter.

When tinkering further, I actually think a short term win is allowing us to nest smart folders under a dashboard view. But that doesn’t solve our ability to have spaces be children with a dashboard on top…
