Hi Fibery Team,
I’d like to suggest a feature enhancement that would greatly improve the usability of list views, especially when managing tasks and subtasks.
Current Issue: All Entities Collapsed by Default
Whenever I open a list view in Fibery, all entities are collapsed by default. This behavior poses challenges when working with tasks and their associated subtasks, as it requires extra clicks to view and manage nested items. The inability to set a default expanded state can slow down workflow and reduce efficiency.
Proposed Feature: Default Expand/Collapse Setting in View Options
Introduce a setting within the view configuration that allows users to choose whether items are expanded or collapsed by default when the view is opened. This setting could be toggled based on global view settings.
Key Features:
- Default Expansion State:
- Expanded by Default: All entities and their subtasks are visible upon opening the list view.
- Collapsed by Default: All entities are collapsed, requiring manual expansion to view subtasks.
- Per-View Configuration:
- Allow this setting to be configured individually for each view, providing flexibility across different projects or use cases.
- Remember User Preferences:
- Option to remember the last state (expanded/collapsed) when reopening the view for a more personalized experience.
Benefits:
- Enhanced Workflow Efficiency: Reduces the number of clicks needed to access subtasks, streamlining task management.
- Improved User Experience: Allows users to tailor the view to their specific needs, making the interface more intuitive and less cumbersome.
- Flexibility: Supports diverse workflows by accommodating both high-level overviews and detailed task management within the same platform.
