Where are the tabs?

hello, i have been navigating fibery for a while and one feature that makes notion a compelling platform is having tab views so each tab go to different view of same database for example i got project with view of current , and another tab for pipeline etc … i have seen it in videos but i can’t find it anywhere …

see this image from one of the youtube videos (the new view is what im talking about)

so does this view tabs exist?? or its a bug in my workspace ?? or its paid feature ??? or what , i seriously need help

Hey!

This was the UI for the admins/creators when setting up databases. Each “tab” is a database. Unfortunately top level views (views in the sidebar) don’t have the ability to have tabs, but if you’re working with lots or related data, you can use the Relation Views in an entity and then pin them, this is the closest you can get to the tabs in notion. And you don’t even need them to be showing the same databases, its quite flexible.

More info: Fibery

Just adding to what @RonMakesSystems wrote…
the tabs for databases has been replaced with sidebar access to databases in a space.

You can use multiple entity views if you want to see different views of the same record.
Otherwise if you are talking about collections in an entity view (to-many relation fields) then as Ron says, you can create as many relation views as you like and pin them.

Yes , ok its called here relation views , how can i do … where can i find it?? I cant find it anywhere :face_exhaling: and the page you gave doesnt show exactly where we can find this option

Take a look at this one and see if it helps!

The last video on the user guide page about relation views shows how to pin relation views.
The following link ahould take you to that anchor:

@Chr1sG @RonMakesSystems
im clearly confused and doing something wrong !! maybe its a paid feature im still confused could you help me in navigating the problem let me show you what i have understood and what i have to be more clear … from the images and videos it seem this is:
1- document which has embded view of a database
2- near the title of the embded view there is a list of views to add or delete
3- there is a tab view also in the document it self
i just highlighted the things what im looking for … its 2 things i tab view of database and tab view of the document itself but idk what they call it or how to create them i checked the videos and saw them it doesn’t look like my workspace

see my situation in my document:

if you look in the image i gave there is no way to put more views like in the video i mean there isnt a button near the title this in both the database or document … so am i doing something wrong?

Your images show two different things.

The first is an entity (in this case, a Feature) showing multiple pinned entity views (Default, QA, Release Day and Customer success) and a relation view which is a board view (for the Bugs relation field).
Relation views are the different ways of presenting data for collection fields.

The second image is a document, with an embedded view.
There is no possibility to switch between different types of view within a single embedded view.

Now i got it , this a bit confusing to be honest , and i understand there is like a capsule like with the database showing if it entity or not … maybe as a suggestion fibery could also add like a stroke around the pannel view with the color of database , this way its clearly seens as entity view …

i gues at the end this multiple view is a paid view , i wished we could have tabs somehow in the document view and also make it for paid version … i think its going to be very helpful especially in mobile first users … > count me as subscribed ill subscribe for that only feature lol

btw thanks for helping us and engaging in all conversation, you guys are the best and i moved from Coda due to lack of communications! keep the good work good luck

Indeed, multiple entity views is available on all paid plans.

Thanks for the feedback. We don’t have any current plans to make improvements to documents/rich text, but we’ll note the wish.
