I have this database structure:
Using the smart folder I can view the child databases under both parent databases:
Using other objects such as lists and tables cannot display child databases under both parent databases.
Why this limitation?

As it happens, the limitation (not being able to show the same database at two places in the hierarchy) is the intended behaviour, and it shouldn’t be possible in smart folders either (!)
Not sure why it is allowed, and if you make use of it, there’s a good chance that the entities will not be rendered correctly
