In the timeline and board views, untoggling the Database field removes the icon/placeholder that indicated which Database you’re working with. I’d like to do the same with list views and table views.
Sometimes is just to make the view more streamlined
But in other views I’d like for the avatar or icon to replace it. While that isn’t supported yet, it does look clunky to see them side by side.

+1, without a square a lot of table/list views indeed look better!
Plus it’s odd when you combine databases (the list below contains of three databases) that it’s odd that some of them do have an icon and some don’t.
We prefer not to use icons for normal marketing channels. Since it looks more clean inside an entity.
But when we build an integration (like with ActiveCampaign and WebinarGeek) we do use icons because we use those pages in the menu as well.
Would be best if we have the option to turn it off as well

Somewhat related, but I would also request that database icons become removable in the primary sidebar.
I’ve resorted to using scripts to add a custom blank icons for certain entities which is not a perfect solution but it helps with the visual clutter a bit.
