As a Notion to Fibery convert I keep noticing myself trying to use “CMD+/” as a keyboard shortcut to open a Rich Text Block Editor. I often do this to try change the type of a block, for example to checklist, bullet, red text etc.
I’m a bag fan of Notion’s implementation of this. “CMD + /” brings up a menu of possible actions from which you can search and execute an action without using a cursor. This (search) is the lowest friction method of formatting which I’ve come across in all software I’ve used. It seems to reduce the context switching from thinking to formatting, removes memorising hotkeys and I found allowed me to focus a little better.
Not trying to Notion-ify Fibery, if anything I’d like to Fibery-ify the rest of the world ![]()
