Problem: When choosing an entity to relate to, you might have many to choose from and not sure which on is that you are looking for. Either because of duplicate names, or just because you need to explore a little before choosing the right one. Right now I need to go a seperate view, explore / filter / search, find the one i need, go back to the original entity and link it or link it from the target entity, then go back to the original to make the rest of the fields.
I’m not entirely sure about a solution to this that doesn’t introduce more sub-views that can get lost… But adding a maximise button and having a list pop up in another panel that can be filtered, searched through, and explored before choosing choosing an entity would be nice. As a starting point, just having the little arrow avaliable for entities you’re searching through so you can take a look at them would be great.
That’s a great suggestion and I added +1 vote for this.
Notion already has some feature/ui to solve this kind of issue. In Notion, you can customize which other data will show up in the dropdown. It’s very useful.
