New Entity cards on whiteboard

Hi Fibery team!

Could you please tell why new entity cards aren’t being created on the whiteboard with claude mcp? This is a very important feature—it used to work fine, and now one of our team is affected  ; we’ve moved away from manual entry and have really come to rely on creating these cards on the board in tandem with Claude.

This is a super important feature, and it’s really missed.:face_without_mouth:

These are users with paid accounts—meaning they can create new entity cards in the database with their claude accounts via mcp, but they cannot add those cards to the board itself via mcp. Consequently, they end up creating the cards in the database via MCP, but then have to go and manually add them to the board.

Not every shape are supported for creation on a Whiteboard atm. We will extend this support over time. Thanks for reporting.

Thanks for the reply! It looks like this feature did exist and was turned off recently.:face_without_mouth:

On September 17 Claude placed entity cards on one of our whiteboards via MCP, and those cards are still on the board. Now the same request is rejected: create_whiteboard_elements only accepts TextBox2, ShapeBox, StickyNote, Section, Link, InscriptionBox, Pen, Picture and Video, and entity cards are no longer in the list.

Could you check whether it was disabled on purpose, and if so, are there plans to bring it back?

I’m positive that it was disabled on purpose. If it worked before it was by pure chance and wasn’t intendant. This could have damaged the board beyond repair.
