Multi-views not working reliably

I recently upgraded to Pro to be able to use multi-views, but it’s not working reliably. I will set certain fields to appear in one field, and then those same fields appear in others. When I remove them from one, they get removed from the others, too.

It’s confusing to track down, but it seems that whichever view was last edited in Architect mode ends up being the fields for all views when not in Architect mode.

In the screenshots below, you can see the “Location” field under the “Meetings Fields” in Architect mode. The “Filing Fields” and “Action Fields” views do not include that field. But, if, I switch to one of those modes and then go out of Architect mode, the “Location” field is no longer visible in the “Meeting Fields” view, either. If I go back into Architect mode, I see it. If I then leave Architect mode while in the “Meeting Fields” view, the “Location” field now appears in all three views, which it shouldn’t.

This is repeatable.

Adding to this because I’ve tested it in newly created databases and it’s doing the same thing. (And I’m getting desperate, time wise!) In summary, the logic behind hiding views is working, but the fields shown when those views are selected by rules are the fields in the view that was in effect when leaving Architect mode.

Hello,

could you please click on the “Views” dropdown and check what view is selected there? And can you maybe attach a screen record? Failed to reproduce so far

Btw do you have any “Open By Default” rules configured?

Looking at your screenshot I assume that another view is selected and clicking on “Meeting Fields” should trigger correct fields to display. After you exit the Architect mode, the same view should remain open which was selected before even if it’s not visible in tabs anymore. That’s kind of expected. In case you had “Meeting fields“ selected before exiting the Architect mode and the selection got changed - it’s definitely a bug

Hi Misha. Thank you for the response.

In the screenshot below, you can see that “Action Fields” is displayed in the tabs section. This is correct, based on the rules in effect. But, in the Views menu, you can see that “Meeting Fields” is selected, and these are the fields shown.

This was taken right after loading Fibery in a newly opened window. I wasn’t even in Architecture mode.

I didn’t define a default view.

I see.

I will fix this particular case. Definitely one of visible tabs should be opened by default
