The “create a new Slack channel” action is super-helpful for things like incident management. It’d be even more helpful if the newly-created channel ID was available in the markdown template, so that you could send a message to another existing channel, linking to the newly-created one.
You need this because Slack’s message markup doesn’t support mentioning channels using their name - you have to use the channel ID instead.
If this is easy to propagate through then we’d really appreciate it being added.
Use case:
Being able to send a message to #incidents saying “A new incident has been declared: ‘Everything is on fire’ - please join #incidents-everything-is-on-fire for more information” and have that new channel name actually be a link you can click on.
