Is referral working?

I just created a new account with a new email using my referral link and I couldn’t see the new signup number being counted on my account preferences, neither the discount for the new account if becomes a paying account.

Nut sure if is a bug or something else, but wanted to let you guys know.

It takes some time to process and make a decision, usually within a few hours, though occasionally longer.

Please note the following eligibility criteria:

  • Invitees must be new Fibery users
  • Referrals to colleagues within the same company (e.g., using the same email domain) are not eligible

But, for the person that just created the account, it’s not appearing the credit in the new account. If that also takes a few hours, it would be weird because it looks like the referral didn’t work.

I noticed later that the new account that I created received a notification saying it wasn’t eligible for receiving the referral.

Yes, it does take some time for the credit to appear in an invited account as well. However, we agree that users should see that the credit is pending. That’s very fair feedback, and we’ll take it into consideration.

Regarding the credit being rejected, this can happen if you invited an existing user or yourself. :pleading_face:
Here are the key rules:

  • The invitee must be a new Fibery user (i.e., not associated with an existing workspace).
  • The email domain must be different from any domain already used in the Referrer’s workspace, unless it is a commonly used public domain.
  • Self-referrals (creating additional accounts or inviting oneself to earn credits) are prohibited.
