Grid Color Coding to Better Distinguish Levels

In grid view, if you have color coding for multiple levels, it becomes extremely difficult to visually distinguish between levels - everything just starts to blend together. I think this is due to the color bar on the left side of the row. Because all of the color bars are vertically aligned, it’s hard to quickly gauge where the sub-level ends and a new parent level begins.

A few options that would improve this:

  • weighted color bars by level. Similar to table of contents
  • weighted lines to separate the parent level sections when there are additional levels
  • ability to show the color bar for only certain levels (only parent level, then sub levels still have color, but no bar)

We have some improvements planned
But shared screenshot from your side would definitely help us to better understand whether your case will be covered
