We use databases for wikis, however some of our users are… stubborn… and fail to remember that they should press instead of . It would be really handy if we can protect our users from themselves by disabling documents (and other entities such as whiteboards, views, and dashboards as well).
I can see that you might not want to disable it everywhere, as there is a use. However in our wiki tree based smart-folders, there is no place for little documents floating around.
I think the documentation is referring to the “Document” button in menus used to create document views, and not referring to the document views themselves.
