Disable entity creation for relations via the entity view

Good morning,
We encountered a little UX bump in our fibery setup.

We have this booking system where people (usually via a form) can book pieces of equipment. However, we noticed that people who create a new booking via our View can also create new entities for the “Equipment” relation, leading to the accidental creation of new items in the equipment list.

Is there any way to disable entity creation (not linking, only creation) for relationship fields?
Booking via Forms doesn’t have this issue, as it only allows for linking, and it is our preferred route, but it does still happen (some people are just curious / stubborn and need protection from themselves).

If the person visiting this view has creation rights in the Equipment database, there is no way to stop them from being able to add a new piece of equipment.
You might want to check/adjust permissions for the databases, so that this isn’t allowed.
